Recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence in Math and Science Teaching given by the National Science Foundation. This award is given to one math and one science teacher for each state. Chanda won for Alabama as the Science Teacher. She traveled to Washington D.C. in June to receive this prestigious award along with a montary gift of $10,000. Congratulations Chanda!
