  Joint Proposed Consent Order Filed

For the past several months, at the direction of the Federal Court, Huntsville City Schools Administration and legal counsel, and the United States Department of Justice have been in mediation for the purpose of drafting a Proposed Consent Order intended to resolve remaining issues and ultimately to bring to a close the school desegregation case. Today, Monday, January 26, 2015, the Proposed Consent Order is available to the public. This agreement is supported by the U.S, Department of Justice and the Huntsville City Schools Administration and Board legal counsel.   Today, information about how to access the Proposed Consent Order will be sent home with students.



In order to serve our families in a more convenient manner, the HCS IT Helpdesk/Call Center will stay open until 7:00pm Monday-Thursday.  Feel free to call the IT Helpdesk at 256.428.6900 when you are experiencing IT issues or have questions related to school/device/curriculum IT.
