HUNTSVILLE HIGH STUDENTS ACHIEVE NATIONAL HONORS AT FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA CONFERENCE
On June 25 twelve Huntsville High School Future Business Leaders of America members attended the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California supervised by teachers Patricia Woods and Kim Britton. These members participated in leadership workshops and competitive events with over 9,000 high school students from the United States and several US territories.
In all three members were recognized for their efforts in the following categories:
Beth Beyers placed 6th in Business Communication
Peyton Cook was recognized as Alabama FBLA Who’s Who
Tracy Kendall placed 2nd in Job Interview
Other teams received honors as well.
The team of David Hughes and Brian Craig, as well as the team of John Wachs and Casey Wermuth were in the top 15 teams in the nation for Digital Video Production.
The team of Sydney Larsen and Taylor Larsen were in the top 12 teams in the nation for Business Presentation.
These students worked very hard to place at the top in the nation. Congratulation to all participants!

A+ College Ready and the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) recognized the Top 3 Alabama AP Teachers who were selected as 2013 Alabama AP Teachers of the Year - Huntsville City Schools congratulates Scott Sharp for this recognition:
Scott Sharp - AP Calculus AB teacher at Huntsville High School
Alabama AP Teachers were eligible for this award if they ranked in NMSI’s Top 10 list out of 323 Program schools across the country for the number of qualifying scores on AP Exams in their subject in 2012 or if they placed in the Top Ten for raw increases in AP qualifying scores from 2011 to 2012.
