Will students be able to ride the city's shuttle buses for free to a feeding site?

 

 

The USDA has made available a new program called the Community Eligibility Program (CEP). By participating in this program, a school or school district may serve Free Breakfast and Free Lunch to ALL students in that school or school district.

In our district, 25 of our 39 schools will be participating in this program for at least the next 3 years. Some of the schools qualified, some are simply schools we added to the list due to operational reasons (2 schools eating in the same cafeteria). We are very excited about this program as it will lessen the workload for teachers, administrators, and parents. Our hope is that it will increase participation in the school breakfast and school lunch program which we believe will help increase attendance as well as increase academic achievement. Here is the list of the 25 schools who will be participating in the CEP Program:
