After undergraduate & graduate school I worked as a mental health therapist with the Children's Services division at JBS Mental Health Authority in Birmingham before entering the fifth-year M. Ed. program at Samford. While completing my degree at Samford I worked as a substitute teacher and was the head JV baseball coach as well as an assistant varsity boys basketball coach at LCHS.

I started teaching at Huntsville Middle as a social studies teacher in 2013 and was there for two years where I also coached the boys track team to its first city championship in over a decade. This is my seventh year at HHS now. I taught honors and AP history for four years, and now teach all ETA.
