My name is Rebecca Barnes. I was born and raised in Decatur, AL. I then went to Auburn and received my undergraduate degree in zoology. I later received a Master's of Biology Education from Auburn University. I have two sons, Blake and Cole, and a dog named Lucy. I have been teaching at HJHS (formerly HMS) since August of 2004. I taught 8th grade from 2004-2012. I have been teaching 7th grade life science since August 2012. Starting in August 2019, I teach both 7th and 8th grade science.
