Ms. Dempsey is a Huntsville native. She grew up attending the Huntsville City Schools' Magnet Program. She moved to Denver, Colorado to complete her Bachelor's Degree and lived here for 10 years. She moved back in 2018 and is so glad that she did!

Ms. Dempsey loves teaching Mae C. Jemison High School students the biological sciences across the grade levels. She is the Science Club Sponsor, Science Department Chair, and faculty science tutor.

Ms. Dempsey enjoys living a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys doing yoga, gardening, going to the gym; and cooking at home and eating clean. During her spare time, she spends time with her family, and enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, kayaking, dancing, and reading. Finally, she strives to embody positive living principles. Everyday is a new day and an opportunity to move forward and reach new heights of what is possible.
