As we get ready to kick off PBIS for the school year, we have some fun new initiatives. The first change has to do with Dojo points. We will still have a Dojo points goal each month, and a celebration for those who reach the goal. However, this year, students have the opportunity to earn a Golden Ticket worth 10 points at a time! Students who exhibit behavior above and beyond our ROCK behavior expectations can receive a Golden Ticket from any teacher in the school to go towards monthly Dojo points goal.
The second new initiative is our Students of the Month. Each month we will focus on a specific character trait. Students will learn about this trait during counseling classes, and teachers will watch to see which students are exhibiting these traits. Each classroom teacher will choose the student in class that best exhibits the trait during the given month. Those students will be recognized with a certificate and a Golden Ticket! August's character trait has been fairness. We can't wait to start these new initiative and celebrate students for their positive behavior!
