Greetings Chaffee Families,
It’s Red Ribbon Week! A flyer was sent home this past week with each day’s theme. The flyer is also included below in the newsletter. We hope your child(ren) will join us in dressing up each day. Friday is extra special as it’s Book Character Day! Students may dress as a book character who makes good choices (please remember that anything symbolizing/resembling a weapon should not be brought to school). We will have a Book Character Parade at the blacktop at 8:30am, weather permitting. Friday is also a half day for students.
We loved hosting Grandparents Lunch last week! Everyone was so complimentary of our school and seemed to have a wonderful time! We sold a lot of books at the Book Fair, so I’m sure your family has been reading this weekend!
We reached $10,000 during the Eagle Run! We had our Teacher Dinosaur Races last week, which was so fun! The Experience Prize for students who raised $50 or more is scheduled for Friday, November 7! Thank you again to everyone who raised money for our school!
Please remember that students need tennis shoes/sneakers for PE daily. Wearing proper shoes prevents injuries.

We need students at school every day unless they have symptoms of sickness (fever, vomiting, or other contagious symptoms). You are welcome to reach out to Nurse Cat if you are ever in doubt about your child’s symptoms. Every school day is full of learning that cannot be replicated outside of school, and we don’t want our students to fall behind. Thank you for showing your child that excellent school attendance is a priority.
