Greetings Chaffee Families,
We have a big week of ACAP Testing this week! Our 2nd-5th graders will complete ACAP Math Testing. Please make sure students arrive to school on time, eat a healthy breakfast at home or at school, and have their charged laptop. Please encourage your child to do his/her best.
Are you interested in serving on the PTA Board for the 2026-2027 school year? We would love to have you! Our Nominating Committee is currently seeking parents/guardians to fill PTA Executive Board positions for VP Legislation and Secretary, as well as committee chair positions for Fundraising, Community Sponsorships, Eagle Run, Penguin Patch, Hospitality, and Fall Auction.
K for a Day is this Friday! This is an event for students entering Kindergarten next year and their parents. We can’t wait to meet our new students on this day! Please help spread the word to your neighbors. See the flyer below for more details.
Our next PBIS Celebration is Friday, May 8. Students will have an ice cream social! Thank you to all volunteers who helped at our PBIS Spring Sports Spectacular this past Friday. It was a beautiful day to be outside!
April is the Month of the Military Child! We ask that students, faculty, and staff wear purple on April 22 to show support of our military-connected students.
Do you want to help with our Spring Book Fair? Volunteer.
New and Returning Student Registration for the 2026-27 school year is open! An email with directions has been sent from the district to the primary email address on file for each returning student. Please complete registration as soon as possible so that we can plan for next year. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren or Ms. Carter with any questions.
We have roughly six weeks of school left. Let’s finish strong with excellent attendance!! Every day counts for our students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being. When you stress the importance of school, your child will understand the importance of school. Thank you for your help with this.
Our Awards Day Celebrations will be held in May. Students can earn the following awards: All As, All As & Bs, Excellent Attendance, i-Ready Reading/Math Growth, and Governors’ Physical Fitness. There will be other awards given specific to each grade level. We hope that you can join us to celebrate our students. Specific dates and times will be shared soon.
