Greetings Chaffee Families,
ACAP Testing is complete, other than a few make up sessions for students who were absent! We still have end of the year i-Ready and DIBELS testing the last week of April and first week of May, and I know our students will do their best!
April is the Month of the Military Child! We ask that students, faculty, and staff wear purple on April 22 to show support of our military-connected students.
Need help with registration? We will be set up this Wednesday, 8:30-11:30am, to help you. A Spanish translator will be at Chaffee to help as well. Bring your proof of residency and anything else you need to register your child(ren).
Are you interested in serving on the PTA Board for the 2026-2027 school year? We would love to have you! Our Nominating Committee is currently seeking parents/guardians to fill PTA Executive Board positions for VP Legislation and Secretary, as well as committee chair positions for Fundraising, Community Sponsorships, Eagle Run, Penguin Patch, Hospitality, and Fall Auction. Please complete this form by April 21 to volunteer for a position.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8, and we are collecting gift cards so that each faculty and staff member receives one. I hope you will join in and help our teachers feel loved all week! Please sign up here to donate a gift card or money to be used toward a gift card. Thank you for your support!
Do you want to help with our Spring Book Fair? Volunteer.
Our next PBIS Celebration is Friday, May 8. Students will have an ice cream social!
New and Returning Student Registration for the 2026-27 school year is open! An email with directions has been sent from the district to the primary email address on file for each returning student. Please complete registration as soon as possible so that we can plan for next year. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren or Ms. Carter with any questions.
We have roughly five weeks of school left. Let’s finish strong with excellent attendance!! Every day counts for our students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being. When you stress the importance of school, your child will understand the importance of school. Thank you for your help with this.
Our Awards Day Celebrations will be held in May. Students can earn the following awards: All As, All As & Bs, Excellent Attendance, i-Ready Reading/Math Growth, and Governors’ Physical Fitness. There will be other awards given specific to each grade level. We hope that you can join us to celebrate our students. Grade level dates and times are shared below.
Soar Eagles,
April Clark
