Greetings Chaffee Families,
Faculty & Staff Appreciation Week is this week! I hope you will join in and help our teachers feel loved all week! See the flyer below for each day’s theme. We would love to have you volunteer to assist with Duty Free Lunch and here to donate a gift card for our faculty and staff. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up!
We are so close to meeting our school attendance goal for the year. We need every student at school each day to reach our goal. Please make sure your student is at school for the next fourteen school days unless (s)he is excluded per district policy. Please send an excuse note/email or call the front office following each absence so that the absence can be coded as excused when possible. Thank you for your continued help with this!
This week students will take the end of the year i-Ready Reading Test. Our 2nd and 3rd graders will take the end of the year DIBELS test. We hope to see a lot of growth from the beginning of the year tests. Student results will help our teachers to know where to start with individualized instruction next year.
If you've been unable to attend any of our Title 1 Parent Focus Meetings and would like to receive a digital copy of resources/handouts, please email our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Bush.
Our Awards Day Celebrations will be held in May. Students can earn the following awards: All As, All As & Bs, Excellent Attendance, i-Ready Reading/Math Growth, and Governors’ Physical Fitness. There will be other awards given, specific to each grade level. We hope that you can join us to celebrate our students. Grade level dates and times are shared below.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Family Literacy Night—we had so much fun!
Our final PBIS Celebration of the school year is Friday, May 8. Students will have an ice cream social! Volunteer!
Field Day will be held Friday, May 15. Volunteer!
I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered this year. We hope to continue to grow our volunteer base next year because it takes everyone to help with the numerous events we want our students to experience.
New and Returning Student Registration for the 2026-27 school year is open! An email with directions has been sent from the district to the primary email address on file for each returning student. Please complete registration as soon as possible so that we can plan for next year. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren or Ms. Carter with any questions.
