Greetings Chaffee Families,

Happy Mother’s Day to our Chaffee families!

Thank you all for making Faculty & Staff Appreciation Week so special! Our faculty and staff are appreciative of everything we received! Chaffee is such a special place.

We are looking forward to Field Day this Friday! As a reminder, in order to be present for Field Day, you must be signed up as a volunteer. You can park on the road in front of the school or at Community Fellowship Baptist Church. The back parking lot will be closed to visitors. You will need to check in at the front office with your identification to receive a sticker. I am so sorry, but for safety purposes, siblings may not attend Field Day. Students should wear their grade level color for Field Day (PreK: gray, Kindergarten: orange, 1st grade: lime green, 2nd grade: blue, 3rd grade: yellow, 4th grade: green, 5th grade: red).

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered this year. We hope to continue to grow our volunteer base next year because it takes everyone to help with the numerous events we want our students to experience.

If you've been unable to attend any of our Title 1 Parent Focus Meetings and would like to receive a digital copy of resources/handouts, please email our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Bush.

Our Awards Day Celebrations will be held next week. Students can earn the following awards: All As, All As & Bs, Excellent Attendance, i-Ready Reading/Math Growth, and Governors’ Physical Fitness. There will be other awards given, specific to each grade level. We hope that you can join us to celebrate our students.

New and Returning Student Registration for the 2026-27 school year is open! An email with directions has been sent from the district to the primary email address on file for each returning student. Please complete registration as soon as possible so that we can plan for next year. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren or Ms. Carter with any questions.

Soar Eagles,
