Greetings Chaffee Families,
Last week we visited the AR Store, celebrated our PreK students, welcomed 2026 Seniors for our Senior Clap Out, had a few field trips, ate dinner at Five Guys for Chaffee Spirit Night, held our i-Ready Spring Celebration, played hard at Field Day, and cheered on our 5th graders in the Fifth Grade Games! It was a fun and exhausting week! Thank you to everyone who helped our students make lasting memories. We could not make these events possible without our volunteers!
Our Awards Day Celebrations will be held this week. Please see the flyer below for grade level specific times. Students can earn the following awards: All As, All As & Bs, Excellent Attendance, i-Ready Reading/Math Growth, and Governors’ Physical Fitness. There will be other awards given specific to each grade level. We hope that you can join us to celebrate our students. Please remember that you can park on the road in front of the school or at Community Fellowship Baptist Church. Our back parking lot has limited parking. If the gates are closed that means the parking lot is full or that it can not be accessed at that time. Please do not open gates yourself.
Thursday is the last day of school for the 2025-26 school year, and what a year it has been! We will dismiss at 11:30am on Thursday. Buses will run. I hope your family has a fun and restful summer. Please continue to check your email for school updates.
Our PTA is hosting a Summer Splash Pool Party, and we need volunteers. Please volunteer here. We can’t wait to see our students at Byrd Spring Pool on Monday, June 1!
New and Returning Student Registration for the 2026-27 school year is open! An email with directions has been sent from the district to the primary email address on file for each returning student. Please complete registration as soon as possible so that we can plan for next year. Please encourage your friends to register as soon as possible. You can reach out to Ms. Cothren with any questions.
