Greetings Chaffee Families,
This Friday our students will participate in an all-day STEAM event, Chaffeetopia! We are so excited for this event to make its return. We still need volunteers! Volunteer here. Our students are going to have such a fun day!
Our first PBIS Celebration is Thursday! Volunteer!
The Eagle Run fall fundraiser is underway! All information has been sent home and is below. Our goal is to raise money for our school to purchase new and very much needed furniture for our school. If each student raises at least $50 we will exceed our goal of raising $16,000 for our school. Keep getting those sponsorships. We need volunteers for our run day. Volunteer!
Have you joined PTA this year? If not I encourage you to do so! We are very fortunate to have such a hardworking and supportive PTA. Becoming a member is a wonderful way to support the school and your child, so we hope you will join if you have not done so already.
This year, as part of the Alabama Literacy Act, students in 3rd grade who do not score proficient on the spring ACAP reading test may not be promoted to 4th grade. It is imperative that our students are at school daily unless sick so that they can receive their many tiers of instruction. We want all of our students to be successful! We only have three weeks until Fall Break, let’s power through and be at school unless excluded for sickness.
I would like to congratulate our newly elected Student Council Officers: President Cora Putt, Vice President Sloan Claburn, Secretary Jiriya Hines, and Treasurer Colton Dombrowski! I look forward to working with our Student Council Officers, Class Representatives, and Student Council Sponsor Ms. Yocom to steer the great things happening at Chaffee.
