Picture of the hallway made into a crime scene with a chair with yellow tape

The Columbia CSI Team has recently been studying how to secure and document a crime scene.  Part of documentation of the crime scene is photographing the evidence.

Students learned how to use oblique lighting and the procedures for taking pictures at multiple angles while capturing multiple zoomed views.

Entry and Exit points are also documented as well as the general crime scene and adjacent areas.  Here the investigators can be seen photographing the evidence for proper documentation.

The students acquired a wealth of information during this lesson.
