The Columbia High School Band would like to take a moment to congratulate the Columbia High School Choir and their director, Mr. James Kendrick for an outstanding Spring Concert.
This performance is extra special as it is Mr. Kendrick's final Spring Concert as he will be retiring at the end of this year.
M r. Kendrick is a pillar in Columbia High School, and in the CHS Fine Arts Department as the longest serving faculty member. Mr. Kendrick is Columbia's first and only choir director in the history of the school. (He also served as band director for a brief momentl.) Seeing a need to engage with our increasing Hispanic population, Mr. Kendrick applied for, and was awarded, a grant to engage more with our Hispanic community, and thus birthed La Voz Del Aguilar (The Voice of the Eagle) our Mariachi Band.
We thank Mr. Kendrick for his 20 years of service to Columbia High School, and congratulate you on your well deserved retirement!
