Dr. Richey was born in Gordo, Alabama which is a small town in Pickens County where he is a proud graduate of Gordo High School. He is married to Titania Richey and they have three children. He loves spending time with his family and serving God along with the community.

Dr. Richey has served in the capacity of teacher, athletic director, coach, assistant principal and principal spanning across all grade levels from pre-K through 12th grades, therefore bringing a wealth of knowledge, talents, experience and expertise.

He leads with fairness and impartiality and is known for his fair and equitable treatment of all those under his stewardship. Fairness, consistency and high expectations are the hallmarks of his leadership style.

He is a visonary leader who wants to promote a positive culture, behavior, inclusivity and most of all, foster an environment of growth and improvement. He believes and strives in making everyone around him better!

Dr. Richey is a strategic resource leader and altruist for change in hopes of "creating opportunities of success" for all of the students at Columbia High School!
