Powder Puff has become a well-respected tradition at high schools across America and Columbia students hosted a Powder Puff game for Homecoming Spirit Week. Powder Puff games was created in the 1940’s as women began filling in to play football games while men were fighting in World War II. Generations later, it became a high school homecoming tradition over time and became what we know it as today. It is a good thing that equality has progressed and changed because now girls are playing, Flag Football-- a sport that is officially sanctioned in Alabama.

The game was highly anticipated with the main objective being-- to raise school spirit and it did just that!
