Academics
Report Cards went home Friday. Be sure to check your child's grades.
We will be giving the PSAT test to 10th grade students on Tuesday.
We will administer the WorkKeys assessment to all seniors on Wednesday.
Attendance
We would like to congratulate on seniors on having the least amount of tardies for the first nine weeks. They will have an off campus picnic to celebrate. Seniors will receive more information about the picnic this week.
We will have another celebration for the class with the fewest tardies this nine weeks as well, so let's make sure we are getting to class on time.
We encourage all of our students to attend school daily. It is our goal to achieve a 95% attendance rate. We currently have a 93% rate and I know we can improve on this.
Remember if a scholar gets 6 unexcused tardies to class in a nine week period, they will not be allowed to attend any school events the following nine weeks.
Attitude
I would like to commend our students on a great first 10 weeks of school. Let's continue to show respect to our teachers and peers on a daily basis.
We will be have a grade level competition this nine weeks to see which grade level has the least amount of office referrals.
Athletics
We commend our volleyball team on a great season. We know things may have ended sooner than we had hoped but we still are very proud of our girls. We also want to thank our seniors and wish them great success.
Our football team will travel to take on Jasper High school on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
We will have an in-school flag football game on next Monday, October 27th. It will be for students who have less than 6 tardies and no disciplinary referrals.
