Here's a look at what is happening in the Eagle's Nest this week:
Announcements
Remember Friday is a half day of school for students.
Choir will have a field trip to the United Methodist Church on Monday. They will depart at 9:00 AM and return at 3:30 PM.
Senior Portrait Make-ups will be Tuesday during school hours.
HOSA is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Wednesday.
Annual Trunk or Treat will be Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
Academics
Education is the foundation for future success- always give your best!
"Academics are not just about grades; they are the foundation upon which you will build your future, and you should approach each class you take with the intention of mastering the material for long-term success!” (Based on the theme from Varsity Tutors).
Attendance
We encourage all students to attend school daily. It is our goal to achieve a 95% attendance rate. We currently have a 93% rate, and I know we can improve on this.
Remember if a scholar gets 6 unexcused tardies to class in a nine-week period, they will not be allowed to attend any school events the following nine weeks.
Please encourage your scholar to attend school every day because attendance is very important to us at Columbia. Please visit our attendance page on our school's website for information.
Attitude
I would like to commend our students on a great first 10 weeks of school. Let's continue to show respect to our teachers and peers on a daily basis.
Athletics
Flag Football will have an in-school game on Monday at 2:30 PM.
Flag Football game at Athens on Thursday. Game will start at 6:00 PM.
Football team will travel to Hazel Green on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.
