We have successfully completed three months of the 2025-26 school year. I appreciate the students, parents, and teachers on a job well done. But we're still just getting started.
Here's a look at what is happening in Eagle’s Nest this week:
Announcements
This week is HOSA Week at Columbia High School. We want to say thank you to HOSA for their endless dedication, kindness, and continuously serving our community.
Work Based Learning - COOP Orientation class meeting will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
Parent Advisory Meeting will be Wednesday at 11:00 in the Innovation Center.
We will have a pep rally to usher in basketball season at CHS. The theme is “White Out”, so wear all white to school on Thursday.
Academics
Education is the foundation for future success- always give your best!
Attendance
Perfect Attendance Celebration will be Friday.
We encourage all students to attend school daily. It is our goal to achieve a 95% attendance rate. We currently have a 93% rate, and I know we can improve on this.
Remember if a scholar gets 6 unexcused tardies to class in a nine-week period, they will not be allowed to attend any school events the following nine weeks.
Please encourage your scholar to attend school every day because attendance is very important to us at Columbia. Please visit our attendance page on our school's website for information.
Attitude
Let's continue to show respect to our teachers and peers on a daily basis.
Athletics
We will have HOME Bowling matches on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30 at Bowl Madison.
Girls and Boys Basketball will play Westminster, and tip-off is at 4:30 here at CHS on Thursday.
There will be a PBIS Dodgeball game on Friday during the school day.
There will be a basketball game against Madison County AWAY, Friday beginning at 4:30.
We are continuing to "Create Opportunities for Success!”
