Columbia High School proudly honors Rometha Holman, a highly dedicated, innovative educator who demonstrates exceptional instructional skills, leadership skills, and a profound commitment to student success both within the classroom and community.
Mrs. Holman has been the cornerstone of our faculty at Columbia High School, where she teaches Business Education and serves as one of our most seasoned lead teachers, advisers, and as one who mentors to novice teachers. She demonstrates teamwork in helping to develop and organize school-wide initiatives that benefit the diverse needs of our students. She has also helped to spearhead curriculum creations and revisions of courses/programs to ensure they are relevant to the students’ needs and career goals.
Mrs. Holman has invariably displayed her expertise in business subjects and possesses the rare ability to demystify complex concepts through real world applications and interactive instruction. She is proficient in technical knowledge to use and teach business software. Her classroom environment is always inviting and nurturing where students are engaged, encouraged to think critically and explore the multifaceted world of business. She brings learning to life through project-based activities. She uses interactive and practical activities, provide career guidance, and stays current with industry trends to prepare students for future academic and professional success!
