Here's a look at what is happening in Eagle’s Nest this week:
Announcements
Welcome Back all students on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
First day of class for the second semester starts on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Students, please check your PowerSchool account and report to 1st period on tomorrow. We will pass out a copy of all student schedules in 1st period.
Students who don't know their 1st period can see any member of administration upon arrival in the morning.
Academics
We will have Spring CERT assessments for all students in grades 9th - 11th on Thursday morning.
All seniors will report to the auditorium during testing time to work on FAFSA, filling out applications for jobs, get senior t-shirts and take care of all senior housekeeping items.
Report Cards will go home on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Attendance
We reached our goal of 95% attendance rate for the first semester, and it is vitally important that we continue to maintain the 95% attendance rate.
If you are traveling or unable to attend school, please notify me directly , so I can assist.
Please encourage your scholar to attend school every day because attendance is very important to us at Columbia.

Attitude
Our goal for this spring semester is to have zero fights. Let's continue to build on our success from the first semester.
Athletics
Basketball teams will be home on Tuesday against Mae Jemison with tipoff at 4:30 PM.
Adapted Basketball team will be at New Hope on Thursday with tipoff at 10:00 AM.
Basketball teams will be home against Oakwood on Thursday with tipoff at 4:30 PM.
Basketball teams will travel to James Clemens on Friday with tipoff at 4:30 PM.
Wrestling teams will travel to Arab on Friday and Saturday.
