Great job on the first week of school!

  • Report Cards will be sent home on tomorrow. Remember, you can always check your student's grade through PowerSchool.

  • Seniors who need a CCR to graduate will have WKO this week from Monday - Friday. Remember seniors, CCR is a requirement for graduation starting this year.

Academics

  • Congratulations to our Freshman class for winning the attendance class competition for the month of December.

  • All freshman will be attending Main Event on Friday, January 30, 2026. In order to attend, student must have less than 5 days of unexcused absence and no out of school suspensions.

Attendance

  • We are doing much better with our school attendance and we ask that students continue to come to school each day.

  • In the event of an emergency or sickness please contact me directly so I can excuse the student and get their assignments to them virtually.

  • Please encourage your scholar to attend school every day because attendance is very important to us at Columbia.

Attitude

  • Students if you see something, say something. We are working hard to create a safe learning environment for all students each day. Do your part in helping to keep our school safe from violence.

Athletics

  • Congratulations to our Adapted Basketball Team as the opened up the season with a win over New Hope on last week.

  • Our Basketball Teams will be at home on Tuesday and Thursday with tip-off scheduled for 4:30 PM. We will host Buckhorn on Tuesday and Lawrence County on Thursday.

  • Our Basketball Teams will close out the week at Hazel Green on Friday with tip-off starting at 4:30 PM.

  • Our Girl's Wrestling team will travel to Buckhorn on Saturday.

  • Workouts for Football will begin tomorrow during school so guys please be sure to bring tennis shoes as well as other needed items. The work for a successful fall starts for us tomorrow.

  • Next school year, all athletes, girls and boys, will be required to take a strength and conditioning course during school in the offseason.
