Here is what's going on in the Eagle's Nest this week:
Announcements
No school Monday, January 19th in observance of MLK Day.
We will have an intruder drill on Thursday at 9:30 AM.
All seniors will be traveling for a college visit on Friday. They will be visiting Miles College and Wallace Community College in Birmingham. They will depart from the school at 8:30 AM and return by 3:30 PM.
Academics
We will start ACCESS testing this week for ELL students.
Attendance
We are doing much better with attendance.Parents, if you child will be absent from school due to sickness, vacation or religious purposes please contact me directly and I can help with attendance.
Please encourage your scholar to attend school every day because attendance is very important to us at Columbia.

Students if you see something, say something. We are working hard to create a safe learning environment for all students each day. Do your part in helping to keep our school safe from violence!
Athletics
Adapted Bowling team will be at Stars and Strikes on Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
Basketball Ball Teams will be at Lee High School on Thursday with tipoff at 4:30 PM.
Wrestling will be at JPII on Thursday with matches beginning at 4:30 PM.
Basketball Teams will travel to Mae Jemison on Friday with tipoff at 4:30 PM.
