ACCESS Testing-Monday-Thursday

JROTC will travel to Tuskegee University on Wednesday.
Dual Enrollment Meeting- Thursday
Perfect Attendance Celebration- Friday
Academics
We will continue ACCESS testing for our EL students this week. We will be testing Monday - Thursday.
If your child is currently enrolled in Dual Enrollment, we have a parent meeting scheduled for Thursday at 5:30 PM. The meeting will take place in the auditorium.
Attendance
We had a much better week on last week with attendance. Remember, I am here to help but I can only help if you communicate with me.
If you have a sickness, vacation or personal reasons that are keeping you from attending, just reach out to me and I can assist. Thank you to our parents that have reached out to me.
Remember our goal is 95% attendance.
Please encourage your scholar to attend school every day because attendance is very important to us at Columbia. Please visit our attendance page on our school's website for information.
We will have a perfect attendance party on Friday for all students who had perfect attendance for the month of January.
Attitude
Let's continue to show respect to our teachers and peers on a daily basis.
Athletics
We will celebrate our Senior Basketball players on Monday night. We will host JPII and we encourage everyone to come out and support our basketball team.
On Tuesday, our undefeated Adapted Basketball Team will be back in action and this time it is an in-school basketball game. We want to pack the stands and encourage all students to purchase tickets tomorrow during lunchtime. Tipoff will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
Also, on Tuesday, our Basketball teams will be traveling to Decatur with tipoff scheduled for 4:30 PM.
Area Tournament for our Boy's and Girl's teams will be Thursday at Hazel Green High School. Our girls will play Lee with tipoff scheduled for 5:30 PM. Boys will play Buckhorn and tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM. They will clear the gym at the conclusion of the girls’ game; this means you will have to pay to re-enter.
