A group of students pose with their cash register prototype and informational poster for the Shark Tank Industrial Age competition in the library.

Students from Chapman Middle School took the stage for an exhilarating showcase of creativity and innovation during their very own Shark Tank event! Sixth-grade students in Ms. Stone's social studies classes dove deep into the world of the Industrial Age, researching and developing prototypes of groundbreaking inventions. Each group enthusiastically presented their findings on remarkable inventions such as the phonograph, telephone, and cash register, captivating the attention of the "Sharks." The judges were tasked with the challenging decision of investing in the most promising inventions, and the atmosphere was electric with anticipation and excitement!

The competition was fierce, and while not every group received start-up funding, every student emerged a winner. The incredible prototypes and informative presentations demonstrated the hard work and dedication of these young inventors. A huge shout-out goes to Ms. Stone for her commitment to making learning an engaging and enjoyable experience at Chapman. By encouraging students to step outside their comfort zones, she has inspired them to present their ideas confidently, proving that hard work truly pays off!

In the library, one of the "Sharks" is shaking hands with a student as they make a deal for an investment on the presented invention.
