The energy was electric at Chapman Middle School as we officially celebrated our 8th-grade promotion ceremony! The gymnasium was packed with excited students, dedicated staff, and proud family members who gathered to honor the incredible achievements of the transitioning class. Adding to the wonderful atmosphere, our school band and choir delivered outstanding musical performances that made the beautiful ceremony even more memorable.
The event featured an inspiring lineup of speakers who shared powerful words of wisdom with our rising freshmen. Kitrise Torain, the Principal of Lee High School, served as our special guest speaker, offering a warm welcome and brilliant insights into the high school adventure ahead. We were also treated to moving speeches from our very own student speakers, Tia Burnette and Kaiyan Lamorissiere. Both spoke eloquently, inspiring everyone in attendance to deeply cherish the memories made at Chapman while encouraging their peers to step outside their comfort zones to try new things.
We are incredibly proud of the growth, resilience, and spirit this 8th-grade class has shown during their time with us. We wish all of our departing students the absolute best as they transition to high school—we know you will continue to do amazing things!
