Students and teachers smiling with Rise Raptor Project representatives.

We want to thank the Rise Raptor Project for bringing Blue (a male American kestrel, which is a type of a falcon), Sassy (a red-tailed hawk), and Maximus (a Eurasian eagle owl) to teach Pre-K and Kindergarten about birds of prey today! We learned about the characteristics of birds of prey.  We also learned the personal history of each bird and the importance of treating wild animals with respect so they can live a healthy life.  The Rise Raptor Project did not charge us for this educational visit; they rely entirely on donations to support their educational outreach. If you feel inclined to support The Rise Raptor Project, you can find more information on their website:

Thanks again to the Rise Raptor Project for this generous and educational gift to our Pre-K and Kindergarten students!
