What a Night! The GSES PTA was honored to attend the Huntsville Council PTA Banquet and went home with several awards! Outstanding Educator - Haley James, Outstanding Teacher - Anne Knight Reasons, Outstanding Support Staff - Jennifer Leigh Grooters, Outstanding Volunteer - Elaine Nash
We also won recognition for ALL SIX National Parent Teacher Association's Standards for Family-School Partnerships: Welcoming All Families, Communicating Effectively, Supporting Student Success, Sharing Power, Speaking Up For Every Child, Collaborating with the Community.
Lastly, we won several membership awards: Golden Apple (All certified staff joined PTA), Early Bird Award (50% of previous membership by Oct 1), Gold Leaf Award (Equal or surpass previous membership, 100% Membership Award (one member for each student enrolled).
We are thrilled with the recognition but it takes everyone to achieve this kind of success. Thank you to all of the teachers and staff for supporting the PTA's programs. Thank you to our students for being the motivation to strive to be better each day. Thank you to our families for stepping up and showing up for your child's education and development. Thank you to the Huntsville Council PTA for your endless leadership and partnership with our school and district.
