In this hands-on science activity, Mr. Crabtree's 4th grade students become ornithologists as they explore how different bird beak shapes help birds survive in their environments. Using simple tools to model various beaks, students will test how each one works best for different types of "food." Through observation and experimentation, they’ll discover how a bird’s beak is perfectly adapted to its diet and habitat! This is a wonderful example of the hands-on learning taking place at Goldsmith! Way to go Mr. Crabtree's class!
