We have some exciting news from the GSES Habitat Learning Lab! This week, we welcomed our second box turtle! We now have a boy turtle named Boxer and a girl turtle named Shelly. Of course, our students have one BIG question: “Will they have babies?” We may have to wait a while to find out! Female box turtles can wait more than four years before laying eggs. So, while we don’t know if or when we'll see baby turtles, our students will watch and learn along the way! We are so excited to have Shelly and Boxer as part of our Habitat Learning Lab family! Who knows what we might discover next as we learn more about our new turtle friends?
