Exciting week for the Habitat Learning Lab!  With Halloween right around the corner, classes studied some creepy critters - Spiders and Bats!  We focused on the Carolina wolf spider and bats of Alabama.  The kids even got to dress up as one as we went over the different parts, and a bat visited us and spent the day napping in our HabLab.a student dressed in a bat costume with a bat head hat with ears. We also had Gulf Fritillary caterpillars make an appearance.  Perfect Halloween timing, as these have a spooky orange and black appearance.  The kids got to witness one make a chrysalis and are eager for it to hatch!
