Thank you for another great week at Hampton Cove Middle School! We appreciate the continued support and partnership of our families as we move through September. Please review this week's important dates, activities, and athletic events.
Choir Trip to Montevallo – September 14
Our HCMS Choir students will travel to Montevallo on Monday. We are excited for our students to have this opportunity to represent Hampton Cove Middle School and participate in this educational experience.
Students participating in the trip should follow all instructions provided by their choir director regarding departure times, required materials, meals, and other trip details.
We wish our choir students a safe and enjoyable trip!
STEAM Team Meetings
The HCMS STEAM Team will meet twice this week: Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00–5:00 PM.
Students participating in STEAM Team should make sure they have transportation arranged for 5:00 PM pickup.
September Is Attendance Awareness Month
September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we continue to emphasize the important connection between regular attendance and student success.
Every school day matters. Consistent attendance helps students remain connected to classroom instruction, maintain academic progress, and build positive relationships with teachers and classmates.
Please continue making every effort to have students at school, on time, and ready to learn each day.
Car Line and Arrival Reminders
Students may enter the school beginning at 7:00 AM each morning. Traffic is typically very light at this time, so families who are able to arrive earlier are encouraged to take advantage of this option.
Please remain in the designated car line, follow staff directions, and pull forward as far as possible before allowing students to exit or enter the vehicle. Students should always enter and exit from the passenger side and should never walk between moving vehicles.
Once the morning car line has concluded, students arriving after 8:00 AM must be checked in through the front office by a parent or guardian.

We appreciate the tremendous support of our HCMS families. Your patience, communication, and partnership play an important role in helping us provide a safe, positive, and successful school experience for every student.
We encourage our families to come out and support our student-athletes and coaches. We are proud of the hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment our Bulls demonstrate both in the classroom and in competition.
