Thank you for another great week at Hampton Cove Middle School! We appreciate the continued support and partnership of our families as we move through September. Please review this week's important dates, activities, and athletic events.
All-City Choir Auditions – September 21–22
HCMS 7th and 8th grade Choir students will participate in All-City Choir Auditions.
We are proud of our students for preparing for this opportunity and wish each of them the very best during their auditions!
Girls Basketball Tryouts – September 21
Girls Basketball Tryouts will be held 5:30 PM.
Students participating in tryouts should arrive prepared and follow all instructions provided by the coaching staff.
Good luck to all of our students trying out for this year's team!
North Regional Cheer Competition – September 22
Our HCMS Cheerleaders will compete in the North Regional Cheer Competition.
We are proud of the time, preparation, and commitment our cheerleaders have put into representing Hampton Cove Middle School. We wish them the best of luck at Regionals!
STEAM Team – September 22
The HCMS STEAM Team will meet from 3:00–5:00 PM.
Students participating in STEAM Team should make sure they have transportation arranged for 5:00 PM pickup.
September Is Attendance Awareness Month
As we continue through Attendance Awareness Month, we want to remind families that every school day matters.
Consistent attendance helps students remain connected to classroom instruction, maintain academic progress, and build positive relationships with teachers and classmates. Please continue making every effort to have students at school, on time, and ready to learn each day.
Car Line and Arrival Reminders
Students may enter the school beginning at 7:00 AM each morning. Traffic is typically very light at this time, so families who are able to arrive earlier are encouraged to take advantage of this option.
Please remain in the designated car line, follow staff directions, and pull forward as far as possible before allowing students to exit or enter the vehicle. Students should always enter and exit from the passenger side and should never walk between moving vehicles.
Once the morning car line has concluded, students arriving after 8:00 AM must be checked in through the front office by a parent or guardian.

We appreciate the tremendous support of our HCMS families. Your patience, communication, and partnership play an important role in helping us provide a safe, positive, and successful school experience for every student.
We encourage our families to come out and support our student-athletes, cheerleaders, performers, and coaches this week. We are proud of the hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment our Bulls demonstrate both in the classroom and through extracurricular activities.
