Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for another great week at Hampton Cove Middle School! As we approach the end of the first quarter, we appreciate the continued support and partnership of our families. Please review the important dates, activities, athletic events, and upcoming Fall Break information below.
HCMS Football - September 28
Our HCMS Football team will be in action at 6:30 PM at Milton Frank Stadium. Come out and support our Bulls as they take on Morris!
STEAM Team – September 29
The HCMS STEAM Team will meet 3:00–5:00 PM.. Students participating in STEAM Team should make sure they have transportation arranged for 5:00 PM pickup.
End of First Quarter Grading – October 2
Families are encouraged to review student grades and make sure all assignments and academic responsibilities are completed as we close out the first quarter. We appreciate the hard work of our students and teachers throughout the first nine weeks of school!
Fall Break – October 5–9
We hope all of our HCMS students, families, faculty, and staff enjoy a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved break.
September Is Attendance Awareness Month
As we close out Attendance Awareness Month, we want to thank our families for helping make regular school attendance a priority.
Consistent attendance helps students remain connected to classroom instruction, maintain academic progress, and build positive relationships with teachers and classmates. Every school day matters!
Car Line and Arrival Reminders
Students may enter the school beginning at 7:00 AM each morning. Traffic is typically very light at this time, so families who are able to arrive earlier are encouraged to take advantage of this option.
Please remain in the designated car line, follow staff directions, and pull forward as far as possible before allowing students to exit or enter the vehicle. Students should always enter and exit from the passenger side and should never walk between moving vehicles.
Once the morning car line has concluded, students arriving after 8:00 AM must be checked in through the front office by a parent or guardian.

Veterans Support Club Donation Drive
The HCMS Veterans Support Club is continuing its donation drive to benefit the Downtown Rescue Mission. Veterans make up a significant portion of the homeless population, and our students are working to help support individuals in need within our community.
The drive continues through October 23. The advisory class collecting the most donations will receive a donut party!
