Welcome Back, Bulls!
We hope everyone had a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Fall Break! We are excited to welcome our students back to Hampton Cove Middle School as we begin the second nine weeks of the school year.
It is hard to believe how quickly this school year is going by! The first quarter is already behind us, and we are looking forward to building on the great work our students and teachers have accomplished so far.
A Fresh Start for the Second Nine Weeks
The beginning of a new grading period is a great opportunity for every student to set new goals and start strong.
We encourage our Bulls to come back from Fall Break focused and ready to make the most of the second quarter. Students should continue to attend school regularly, arrive on time, complete assignments, ask for help when needed, and demonstrate our BULLS expectations each day.
Thank you to our families for continuing to encourage and support our students at home. Your partnership makes a difference!
Boys Basketball Parent Meeting – October 12
A Boys Basketball Parent Meeting will be held Monday at 5:30 PM.
Parents of boys basketball players should plan to attend to receive important information about the upcoming season.
STEAM Team Meeting – October 13
The HCMS STEAM Team will meet Tuesday at 3:00 PM.
We are excited to see our students continue developing their creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and STEM skills through this opportunity.
ACAP Testing – October 14–16
ACAP testing will take place Wednesday through Friday,
Please help us ensure students are prepared to do their best by getting a good night's sleep, eating breakfast, arriving at school on time, and coming ready to focus.
Attendance during testing is extremely important. We appreciate our families helping us provide the best possible testing environment for our students.
Report Cards – October 16
First-quarter report cards will be available in PowerSchool on Friday.
We encourage families to review report cards with their students, celebrate successes, and discuss goals for the second nine weeks. If you have questions or concerns about your student's academic progress, please communicate with their teachers.
Veterans Support Club Donation Drive
The HCMS Veterans Support Club's donation drive benefiting the Downtown Rescue Mission continues through October 23.
Our students are collecting items to support individuals in need within our community, including veterans experiencing homelessness.
The advisory class collecting the most donations will receive a donut party!
Donations needed are toiletry items, clothing,and individually wrapped food.
Thank you for helping our Veterans Support Club make a positive difference in our community!
Support Our Bulls!
As we begin the second quarter, we encourage our students to continue getting involved in athletics, clubs, fine arts, STEAM, and other extracurricular opportunities at HCMS.
We are proud of the character, leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment our Bulls demonstrate both inside and outside the classroom.
