A group of students smiling and celebrating together after winning the school election

On Friday, September 12th, Highlands hosted our Student Council Election Day Assembly, and it was an incredible day for our school community. Our student candidates gave inspiring speeches, sharing their leadership goals and ideas for the future, while families joined to cheer them on. Students in grades 4–6 had the opportunity to cast their votes, experiencing democracy in action firsthand. We were also honored to welcome Ms. Bonnie Garrett, President of HEA, who encouraged students with her words. We are so proud of all our student leaders and look forward to seeing the amazing work this year’s Student Council will accomplish!
