A new club was established recently at Huntsville High School. The One Love Foundation is a national non-profit organization that empowers students to take action in the movement to end relationship violence. One Love was founded to honor a University of Virginia student-athlete, Yeardley Love, who was tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend on May 3, 2010, just three weeks shy of graduating from college. Her family did not learn until the trial for her murder that there were signs Yeardley was in an abusive relationship. Today, One Love is the national leader in preventing relationship violence and abuse. The club helps promote and empower the next generation to learn to love better and be with partners who practice healthy love.

All students are welcome to attend to learn more about how to help avoid or end unhealthy relationships within our community! During our first meeting, attendees were introduced to the club officers and established goals for the club. Members also created posters to invite others to attend.
