Last Friday, our very own Panthers football team had their first scrimmage of the season against Mortimer Jordan. This game was a place where all the grades could come together, dressed in blue, to support our team.
Before the game, Eli Cumberworth, the Panthers kicker, said,” We’ve been preparing all week working out hard and running every play until we get it perfect. We’re a little nervous going into this game and this season, but if everyone tries their hardest we’ll for sure win.”
Our Panthers fought hard, ending the scrimmage with a close 21:20 in favor of Mortimer Jordan.After this scrimmage, our next game will be Senior Night against Hazel Green. Let’s get ready to cheer on our team and make this season the best we can!
