Huntsville High School’s Capstone engineering class soared to new heights this year, taking top honors at the Fall Falcon 2025 competition hosted by NASA at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). The event, known for challenging students to blend creativity, engineering skill, and community engagement, featured three distinct competitive sections—and Huntsville High dominated two of them.

The team—Abby Campbell, James Johnson, Joyner Livingston, Owen Skonieczny, Sydney Stoia, Katherine Benzenhafer, and Charles Pearson—captured 1st place in both the Online Outreach and Open House categories. Their innovative communication strategy and compelling in-person presentation set a new standard for student involvement and STEM advocacy.

Under the guidance of teacher Kalias Robertson, the students developed a cohesive project that highlighted not only engineering excellence but also teamwork, public engagement, and real-world problem-solving. Their success reflects both their hard work and Robertson’s commitment to fostering future leaders in science and engineering.

The victory at Fall Falcon 2025 marks another milestone for Huntsville High’s engineering program—and a proud moment for the students who brought their vision to life.
