Huntsville High School student-athletes posted dominant performances across North Alabama this weekend, bringing home multiple team titles, state qualifications, and podium sweeps.

Varsity Volleyball
  • Ironman Tournament Runner-Up: The HHS Varsity Volleyball team delivered a stellar performance at the Varsity Volleyball Ironman Tournament, battling through tough competition to claim 2nd place overall.

Swim & Dive
  • State Qualifier Explosion: HHS Swim & Dive accumulated a massive 1,150 team points while securing state meet qualifications in all six relay events.

  • Individual Dominance: The Panthers will be heavily represented at the state championship after punching tickets for 51 individual event state qualifiers.

Cross Country

Pepsi Challenge Invite Huntsville Cross Country went head-to-head against more than 50 teams from across North Alabama at the Pepsi Challenge Invite, delivering a stellar performance across all divisions:

  • Varsity Boys — 1st Place Team: Huntsville took the championship team title, anchored by top-10 overall individual finishes from sophomore Landon Alexander and senior Harrison Lehr.

  • Junior High Girls — 1st Place Team: The team captured 1st place overall, led by standout performances from freshmen Karis Chojnacki and Genevieve Kachadorian, who both placed inside the top 5 overall.

  • Junior High Boys — 1st Place Team: Secured 1st place in team standings, powered by freshman Landon Sheridan as the top HHS finisher in 8th place overall.

  • Varsity Girls — Runner-Up Team: Earned a 2nd place overall team finish, with freshman Arleigh Vayda pacing the squad as the top finisher in 13th place overall.
