What a way to spend half a day at Huntsville High School!

Today, 130 HHS students stepped aboard the Be Pro Be Proud Alabama mobile workshop for hands-on exposure to high-demand skilled careers. Be Pro Be Proud introduces students to technical careers, connects them with industry, and helps them see the many pathways to a successful future.

A huge thank you to the Be Pro Be Proud crew for bringing this experience to our students and helping them explore career possibilities in a new way.

We were also excited to add our own “Pro Row” to the experience! Thank you to Josh Kennedy with TVA and the Union Boilermakers for spending the morning with us and giving students the opportunity to make real connections with industry professionals.

We also learned something new today: we had no idea Mrs. Flippo was such a skilled welder! She put her skills to the test alongside our students and scored an impressive 92 on the welding simulator. Only ONE student managed to beat her score, earning serious bragging rights and a $25 Chick-fil-A gift card!

A special thank you to our Career Coach, Hannah Beck, and HHS Counselors Quaynteece Mosby and Michelle Withrow for keeping our photo op going and ensuring students had the opportunity to provide feedback about their experience.

From trying their hand at skilled careers to talking directly with industry professionals, today was all about helping our Panthers see that there is more than one path to a great career.
