Huntsville, AL — Lee High School celebrated its 2025 Homecoming Week with spirited dress-up days, a lively pep rally, and a Samba-themed dance that filled the cafeteria with music and energy. The week’s events showcased the pride and creativity of the FamiLEE community while honoring the traditions that make Homecoming a highlight of the school year.
The week began with themed spirit days that allowed students to express themselves in playful and imaginative ways. Monday’s Adam Sandler Day saw oversized shirts and baggy shorts, while Dressed to Impress Day added a touch of elegance to the halls. Students later highlighted their individuality with a Prep vs. Emo Day, and Stages of Life Day brought costumes ranging from babies to senior citizens. On Friday, the school was covered in a sea of blue, gray, black, and white as students wore Lee High Pride colors to cap off the week.
Friday afternoon’s pep rally provided a spirited centerpiece. The Lee High Band performed for the crowd, filling the gym with music and excitement. Games and contests kept students engaged, while the announcement of the Homecoming Court brought anticipation for Saturday evening’s festivities.
That night, the Generals took on Decatur High School in the annual Homecoming football game. The event drew students, families, alumni, and community supporters, uniting them under the Friday night lights.
The celebration reached its high point at the Samba-themed Homecoming Dance Saturday night. The cafeteria was transformed with lively decorations, rhythmic music, and a vibrant atmosphere. Students danced well into the evening, celebrating the end of a memorable week. The highlight of the dance came when Shawn Costley and Linda Mathis were announced as Lee High School’s 2025 Homecoming King and Queen.
