Huntsville, AL-- Lee High School’s Dance Magnet Elite and Major Company students experienced an exciting day of creativity and collaboration last week as they welcomed Troy University’s Department of Theatre and Dance to campus.
Troy University dance students spent the day mentoring and teaching Lee’s dancers through master classes, choreography sessions, and technique workshops. The visit gave students the opportunity to experience the rigor and artistry of college-level performance while learning directly from university peers.
The collaboration between Lee High and Troy University continues to provide meaningful, real-world opportunities for students to grow as performers and expand their understanding of the professional dance world. Experiences like this help students build confidence, explore college pathways, and connect their classroom training to future goals in the arts.
Lee High School is grateful to Troy University’s Department of Theatre and Dance for sharing their time, energy, and expertise. The day was an inspiring example of how partnerships between schools and universities can enrich student learning and strengthen the performing arts community.
