Lee High School’s Performing Arts Magnet returned from the Alabama State Trumbauer Festival at UAB with an extraordinary list of awards, showcasing the depth, talent, and dedication of our students across acting, musical theatre, technical theatre, design, and stagecraft. This year’s competition brought hundreds of the strongest student performers and designers from across the state, and Lee High proudly earned top placements in multiple categories, including several first-place finishes and Best in Show.

Students in the Original Works, Musical Dramatic, Duet Musical, Costume Construction, Scenic Design, Lighting Design, Stage Management, Puppet Design, Acting Dramatic, and Duet Acting categories represented Lee High with professionalism and artistry. Their performances and designs highlighted the strength of our magnet pathways and the commitment of our faculty and staff who support them.

Original Works (Solo/Duet) – Christian Bailey, 2nd for "My Tainted Mind"
Musical Dramatic 1980–2015 – Zoe Landry, 3rd for "What It Means to Be a Friend"; Madisyn Cobb, 1st for "One Perfect Moment"
Duet Musical Dramatic – Katelyn Cross and Ziyan Pettis, 1st for "Break From the Line"; Addyson Walker and Xatia Knotts Saltus, 2nd for "Some Things Are Meant to Be"; Erin Duus and Linda Mathis, 2nd for "Freedom"
Costume Construction – Sam Kuetemeyer, 2nd for "The Monster (actor)"; Killian Hopper, 3rd for "Christine’s Dress"
Scenic Design – Sydney Bell, 2nd for The Diary of Anne Frank
Lighting Design – Benjamin Fleischman, 1st for Matilda the Musical
Stage Management – Savannah Sumner, 2nd for Into the Woods Jr.
Duet Acting Dramatic Contemporary (1900–present) – Christopher Hart and Savannah Sumner, 3rd for Rabbit Hole
Acting Dramatic (1900–1974) – Jer’nee Johns, 2nd for The Crucible
