A Lee High School student reviews a notebook while preparing a message to a teacher on a laptop in a classroom.

Lee High School families have two convenient ways to contact a teacher or staff member: the school’s online staff directory and ParentSquare. Both options allow families to reach the person closest to a question without searching for an individual email address.

Using the Lee High School Staff Directory

Visit the Lee High School website and select Staff Directory near the top of the page. Families can also go directly to the Lee High School Staff Directory.

Use the search field to enter the staff member’s name. Each listing identifies the employee’s position and department, which can help families distinguish among teachers, counselors, administrators, coaches, and other school personnel.

After locating the correct person, select Send Message. The directory provides this option for individual staff members, allowing families to initiate contact through the school website. Lee High School

Using ParentSquare

Families who use ParentSquare may also contact teachers through the ParentSquare website or mobile app. After signing in, open the Messages area and begin a new direct message. Search for the teacher or staff member by name, select the correct recipient, and send the message through the platform.

Families can sign in through the ParentSquare website or use the ParentSquare mobile app. The email address or telephone number used to sign in should match the contact information provided to the school. If ParentSquare does not recognize that information or does not display the correct student or school, contact Lee High School to confirm that the family’s contact record is current.

ParentSquare allows families and teachers to maintain a record of their conversation in one place. Messages can be accessed through the app or website, and ParentSquare can translate communication into a family’s selected language.

The staff directory and ParentSquare serve the same basic purpose, but families may prefer one depending on the situation. The directory is useful when someone needs to locate an employee or confirm that person’s role. ParentSquare is especially convenient for families who already use the platform for school announcements, forms, reminders, and previous conversations.

What Information to Include

Regardless of which contact method is used, the message should provide enough context for the employee to locate the correct student and understand the question. Include:

  • The student’s full name

  • The course and class block, if applicable

  • The specific assignment, assessment, grade, or concern

  • Any steps the student has already taken

  • The information or next step being requested

For example, a family might explain that a student has reviewed the course materials and spoken with the teacher but is still unsure which portion of an assignment is incomplete. Another message might ask whether an assessment result identifies a particular skill the student should practice.

This information helps the teacher review the appropriate records before responding. Families do not need to provide an extensive history in the first message. A complicated or private concern may be better addressed through a requested telephone call or conference.

Choosing the Appropriate Contact

Questions about a particular course should normally begin with the classroom teacher. Teachers have the most direct information about assignments, assessments, classroom participation, and available academic support.

Questions involving graduation requirements, course scheduling, transcripts, college planning, or a concern affecting several classes may be more appropriate for the student’s counselor. Extracurricular questions should generally begin with the relevant sponsor or coach.

Teachers may not be able to respond during the instructional day because they are teaching, supervising students, planning lessons, or attending meetings. Families should allow reasonable time for the employee to review the question and respond.

If the correct person cannot be identified through the staff directory or ParentSquare, call Lee High School at 256-428-8150. The main office can direct the question to the appropriate person or department.
