Lee High School has been named a 2026 Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence (BRSE) Lighthouse School, earning national recognition for its commitment to student success, quality instruction, and continuous improvement. Lee earned the designation on its first attempt.
The recognition followed a comprehensive assessment that included stakeholder surveys, interviews, a review of school practices and supporting evidence, and a two-day onsite visit. Following that process, the BRSE Awards Committee affirmed the Senior Assessor’s recommendation to recognize Lee as a Lighthouse School.
During the assessment, Lee demonstrated outstanding achievement across all nine performance areas:

These areas reflect the many ways a school supports learning, from classroom instruction and student services to leadership, professional collaboration, and partnerships with families and the community.
This accomplishment belongs to the entire FamiLEE. Faculty and staff contributed evidence, participated in interviews, welcomed assessors into classrooms, and supported one another throughout the process. The school community’s cooperation helped the assessment team gather, organize, and submit evidence documenting Lee’s work.
The designation recognizes the commitment demonstrated throughout the school year: providing quality instruction, building meaningful relationships, supporting student success, and creating opportunities for every student to learn and grow.
Lee will use feedback from the assessment to guide continued improvement and strengthen the educational experiences provided for all students.
