Our 8th grade scientists put on their detective hats in science class. They tested sugar and several mystery powders using water, vinegar, and iodine to observe how each substance reacted. By carefully comparing their results, students uncovered which mystery powder matched the known sugar sample. This hands-on lab helped them understand how physical and chemical properties can be used to identify different materials.
