Two 8th grade students roasting marshmallows in their thermal energy lab

Eighth grade science students had a sweet time learning about thermal energy! Using marshmallows, they explored how conduction, convection, and radiation transfer heat in different ways. Students compared the results of roasting their marshmallows to see which form of energy transfer was most effective. The tasty experiment not only made science fun but also gave students a hands-on understanding of how thermal energy transfers.
