Mountain Gap Middle School

7th grade art students took advantage of the beautiful fall weather to paint “en plein air,” just like the Impressionist artists. Sitting outside with their canvases and watercolors, students observed light, color, and texture directly from nature. This helped students understand the Impressionists’ techniques and appreciation for painting outdoors. It was a perfect blend of art history and creativity in action!
